#2214 closed defect (fixed)

english-spanish translation of abates/satelites appears to be wrong

Reported by: carrott Owned by: cjb
Priority: Unspecified by Maintainer Milestone: Unspecified
Component: Words Version: Unspecified
Severity: Unspecified Keywords: dextrose
Cc: manuq Distribution/OS: Unspecified
Bug Status: Unconfirmed

Description

Start words, select english and spanish.

Enter "sat".

The right hand list has an entry satélite, which has a broken e character (it is displayed as a box with a cross in it, see #2213 for more examples of this), and no english translation.

If you select the satélite word from the list, the translation is "abates" which our pet Argentinian believes is incorrect. Likewise if you type "abates" into the word to translate, you get satélite (with broken e).

With current version, "sat" is untranslated, and this seems fine.
