Collaboration - Friend is present in Group view and not in Neighborhood view

Description
I was sharing chat with a friend before bed. I left my XOon. When I got up in the morning he was still colored in my Group view but did not appear in my neighborhood view.
I of course want this fixed but I also want to understand why this happens? Why is it using different code to show me who is online in Groups vs Neighborhood. My email is Caroline@….
