Ticket #4874 – Description
initial v3 1 There are certain file types, like pdfs, that Browse can't handle. Clicking on a link to one of these freezes Browse, so to view one, you have to right click on the link, and press 'Download Linked File.' 1 Over http everything seems to work fine. Over https, a new tab is opened completely grey, and all Browse buttons become unresponsive. I am using Sugar 1.06, Browse 157.2, arch linux, and an intel i5 cpu. 2 2 3 Instead, Browse should by default ask to download the file when it see that it is unsupported. 3 (over ftp, I get a message saying this web page could not be loaded, but that might be for another bug report.) 4 5 Example files that cause a freeze: 6 https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf 7 https://www.adobe.com/enterprise/accessibility/pdfs/acro6_pg_ue.pdf 8
