Robot speaks too fast

Reported by: dsd Owned by: RafaelOrtiz
Priority: Normal Milestone: 0.94
Component: Speak Version: Git as of bugdate
Severity: Minor Keywords:
Cc: Distribution/OS: Unspecified
Bug Status: New

Description

When Speak opens and says "Hello, please type something" it says it at a reasonable speed and can be easily understood.

When switching to Robot mode, it speaks a lot faster and can be hard to understand. Also reported here:  http://lists.laptop.org/pipermail/testing/2011-June/002179.html

It would be better to have the default rate turned down a bit.

Tested with Speak-25.

This commit should improve the situation

 http://git.sugarlabs.org/speak/mainline/commit/29a9f71aeb2ba2fd44064bdb7c31b04a4b3c6aa8

should be in next version (v27).

Dsd, can you confirm if this is solved? I don't know if is "too fast" now.
