OLPC-Colors Activity – when we minimize and maximize the screen, tab names are not displayed

Description:

When the user minimize or maximize the screen, names of all the
tabs are not displayed.
When the user clicks on the tab only, it displays the names again.

Step to recreate the defect:

1. Power on OLPC
2. Click on the colors icon on home page.
3. Verify the activity tab names (It is there)
4. Minimize the Colors activity Screen
5. Maximize the Colors activity Screen

Actual Result:

When we minimize and maximize the screen, tab names are not displayed.

Expected Result:

Tab names should be displayed properly all the time.

Hi, thanks for this well written bug report.

Can you clarify what is meant by minimize and maximize the screen? I don't know how to do that in Sugar.

Note that I only have a XO 1.0, not a XO 1.5.

There is no such operation defined for minimize and maximize, but on the assumption that the original bug reporter was conflating terms used by other window management practices, I've discovered that Alt/Tab causes the symptom.

Reproduced on Colors!-15 on OS852 (10.1.2) on XO-1.5.

The symptom is that the tab labels are missing after redraw when focus returns to the activity. Sequence is press Alt, press and release Tab, see frame, see Colors! refresh with tab labels present, release Alt, see Colors! tab labels erased.

The symptom can also be reproduced by pressing the Frame key once or twice.

Workaround is to click on the tabs, and the tab labels are refreshed.
