When you launch turtleart it creates a journal entry for tamyblock.py that opens in pippy. This is in addition to a journal entry created for the turtleart activity itself.

This has been the case for a long time. When you launch a new version of Turtle Art for the first time, I copy the most recent version of the sample Python code into the journal for your hacking pleasure. I believe that this is where sample code belongs, but if there is an alternative suggestion, I am happy to consider it. (I am considering copying all of the Turtle Art examples into the Journal as well, rather than carrying them around in the file system.)
Not sure why you consider the entry "strange".
Reproduced on sugar git and turtleart v79
