Description
One request at SkoleLinux was access to Sugar Acitivities from outside of Sugar. It would worth exploring how far we can push this, as it would perhaps draw people into the Sugar framework. I've modified Turtle Art to an extent that basics of the activity run from the shell, but the Journal, Sugar toolbars, and Collaboration are all missing from my simplistic approach.

I've done a lot more work on, for example, Turtle Art in this regard. A lot of it could be generalized, but probably the Journal and collaboration are the big limitations/opportunities...

Will work on the collaboration side of this for 0.90.

This seems like an activity level goal at this point. With the effort on the web toolkit I'd say compatibility of the gtk framework with other desktops goes a bit on the background (and we never made much progress on it).
We should identify each dependency that is provided in Sugar but not in other desktops and set a plan to provide each of them out of Sugar.
