- add default channel list
- add ability to join arbitrary channel
- add connect/disconnect button
- inconsistent color coding of channel tabs
Also: The channel chooser, the tabs at the bottom of the screen, it doesn't scroll sideways for me (arrow buttons do nothing). This is a serious bug.
Would be nice to get notified when someone calls your name too.

Hey Mel, no need :-) The notification feature is already implemented, I just sanity checked IRC-5 (with Sugar 0.84) and if the activity is not front most, you'll get a notification when your nick is typed (IRC icon pulses a few cycles in top right of screen). Not sure if there is any sound as well as I haven't been able to get sound to work in any distros I've tested with recent Sugar 0.84, but the visual notification is definitely working for me here.
