Terminal journal object opens in Write after peer to peer file transfer

To reproduce:

• on one system, start Terminal, ensure a recognisable screen is captured, stop Terminal, and locate the journal object,
• send the journal object to a friend, (right-click, send, friend),
• on the friend system, accept the file transfer, and open the journal object,

Expected result: Terminal opens and shows recognisable screen.

Observed result: Write opens and shows serialised data set;

Does not occur with a photograph.
