Did you check the sugar log? The GNOME keyring issue happens when sugar quits, so is not the root cause.

  • Summary changed from Sugar-runner: fails to launch in Fedora 23 alpha, with GNOME_KEYRING_PID error to Sugar-runner: fails to launch in Fedora 23 alpha

Yes, I get that error also. Adjusting to generic bug title.

This bug was found to be because of an issue with the hardened linker. It was disabled and therefore fixed upstream.

  • Resolution fixed deleted
  • Status changed from closed to reopened

This might crop up again should the hardened linker exemption that Fedora granted be revoked in the future breaking the "fixed" conclusion. Reopening as a reminder to actually look at what the issue might be but should someone like Peter Robinson says there will be no issues in the future, then I'm all for closing this bug report.
