Description
Today I visited a computer lab at a school where 3-5 year olds (the PreK students) were using the computers.
The teacher tried to get them to use Kidspirations to look at and stamp bugs but they rebelled. All they wanted to do was use KidPix.
We need a paint program that is as cool as KidPix or we will suffer the same fate. They will turn off Sugar and go back to Windows to use KidPix

Based on my limited information I see 3 ways to solve this problem.
- Sugarize TuxPaint
- Improve Paint
- Create a new Paint type activity with eToys that uses the rich paint capabilities but hides all the complexity until the child is ready for it.
I'd love to see a discussion of the various options but its probably a matter of finding a person who is invested in creating a good paint solution for sugar and they will do it the way they want to do it.
Personally the eToy option captures my imagination. The Tuxpaint option seems most sensible.

We have Paint and Colors, Tux Paint almost works. I'll put in some Tux Paint tickets and close this.
Did you look at Paint? Would be maybe as well a question for the Activity Team if you need a new activity.
