Description

The "Clear" button appears as "C ear" (no l) on XO-1.5 in Calculate-41/OLPC 13.1.0 os12.

I rebooted the XO to see if was a graphics driver problem but the issue persisted.

I don't recall filing a ticket on this, but I had similar problems at least as far back as OS11 on the VGA output display, but had not seen it otherwise. Only narrow letters and only at certain font sizes (was worse when the font was large, which surprised me).

See #4267 for another occasion of this. Attached are screenshots that show the issue. If there is a character following a 'i' or 'l' the 'i' or 'l' is not displayed.

dsd_: #4249 is probably related to a patch that i wrote
dsd_: in the chrome driver
dsd_: which fixed a different type of text rendering corruption
