Description

We have Evince backend for reading PDF, and the message can be styled like Evince app does in style.css:

Gary, can you provide a good design spec? What about white text over black rounded box?

Currently this is a light yellow rounded rect background with grey text "Loading..." and a small timer graphic to its left. Seems like a low priority to theme as it's very unobtrusive just now.

We don't really have any equivalent else where in Sugar, perhaps we should as a general replacement solution for cursor busy timers when using touch. Pretty much any thing I can think of just now seems like a user might see it as a clickable/touchable button, if it's on screen for more than 1sec (e.g. grey rounded rect with white text and timer icon). Perhaps we should standardise on an icon only, no text, to minimise localisation. We do have a busy cursor pointer that would seem to be a good fit (solid round with an arrow arc part way around the circumference), though I think this one would need to animate a little not to look like a 'reload button'. We would need a design iteration or two on a standard graphic before landing, to be honest. A standard busy icon (ideally one that doesn't need to be animated) would also work well for the Paint fill case, and perhaps other Activities (Calculate can be made to do some long calculations that have quite some delay).

Gary, interesting feedback. We'll come back to this for the next cycle.
