Description
Bernie,
I have been going through the process stream lining the sugar labs meeting process.
It looks like it will be worth the effort to install semantic mediawiki.

I would like SMW for making a test case system for http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/User:Mchua/SoaS_pilot. This can be a temporary isolated sandbox (uptime needed during Feb 1st - June 30, any time outside of that is a bonus).
In the interests of not hosing the infra team, I'm willing to be given root on a VM with no support and be expected to figure the rest out on my own. Anything else I can get on top of that in terms of help, infra, etc. I would consider a happy bonus.
Bernie's doing the "happy bonus" now, if I'm reading our IRC chat correctly. :) I'll let him update this ticket with the details.
This is a critical ticket for the SoaS deployment at CFS; we can still do the deployment itself without it (won't block the students/teacher) but we won't be able to gather a lot of valuable QA information if this isn't up and running.

I've synced our main wiki to sunjammer's /srv/www-sugarlabs/wiki-devel.
Mel, you should have full rw access to install the Semantic Mediawiki extension.
It would be nice if you could run apachebench on the front page before and after the cure, so we know what the impact is.

For reference: the wiki instance is currently up at http://wiki-devel.sugarlabs.org/go/Welcome_to_the_Sugar_Labs_wiki. I'm booked solid with meetings most of this week but hope to get to this ticket early next week, I'll take bug ownership for now.

Do we still need this?

Since nobody responded, I guess not :-)
Do we still need it? It's a complex plugin that also affects the database schema.
I would install it only if people find use cases for it.
