Description
I installed several activities from sugarlabs website on sugar on a stick v6 pineapple with fedora 16. Some are from Gcompris. Most of these activities dont start. Error message is not useful as it only states "X failed to start" Please let me know if you can do anything to help me understand what is happening and also please add better error messages. It seems to be that some activities are compiled only for some versions of fedora, and for some hardware configurations but sugarlabs website say these activities are for version 0.82-0.92 or something like that. At least you could add a warning (big red letters)in sugarlabs website that some activities may not work even if sugar version is inside range noted.

Please use Sugar on a Stick v7 available from
http://spins.fedoraproject.org/soas/
Version 6 has a number of issues in general. All binary activities should be installed as rpms to ensure proper capabilities and compatibility with the underlying releases.
You can get more information in the logs directory (~.sugar/default/logs)
In the case of activities with binaries (as activities related to GCompris), is more difficult determine the environment where the activities will work. Sugarlabs try to use python only in the activities, to avoid problems related with binaries incompatibilities.
