Rainbow tool doesn't work in the same way than in gtk2 version

Description

Steps to reproduce it:

  1. Open Paint (cairo + gtk3 version)
  2. Select Rainbow tool
  3. Draw something on the canvas

Issue:

There are many circles drawn on the screen.

Expected behaviour:

A rainbow line should be drawn.

After drawing something on the Gtk3 version if I press "Ctrl + Z" and keep drawing on the screen the rainbow loses the brightness. Check the screenshot
