Paste does not work

I teach Salto Uruguay.
The first version of Paint was when I received the XO-2007 -
allowed to select an area of the image or design, copy and paste it into the
same design that was working or another to be opened in
Paint it. Later versions do not allow this, the area
selected is copied into the frame but is a totally gray icon
inactive because you can not do anything with it. In conclusion, the tool

• selected * Area does not work in any of the latest versions and is

useful to create designs or crop images.

Soy maestra de Salto Uruguay.
La primera versión  que tenía de Paint cuando recibí la XO -año 2007-
permitía seleccionar un área de la imagen o diseño, copiar y pegarla en el
mismo diseño en que se estaba trabajando o en otro que se abriera en el
mismo Paint. Las versiones posteriores no permiten esto, el área
seleccionada se copia en el marco pero queda con un ícono gris totalmente
inactivo porque no se puede hacer nada con él. En conclusión la herramienta
*Área seleccionada *no  funciona en ninguna de las últimas versiones y es de
gran utilidad para crear diseños o recortar imágenes.

I tried this on paint-31, the copy paste feature is working as expected,

Steps:
*Select an area under the tools menu
*go to the edit menu
*copy image (ctrl+c) (sugar copies it to the journal)
*paste image (ctrl+v).
*image appears on the corner of the paint-area.

Probe esto on paint-31 y esta trabajando como se espera
Pasos:
*seleccione un area dentro del menu de herramientas
*vaya a el menu edit
*copie la imagen (ctrl+c)(sugar lo copa en el diario)
*pegue la imagen (ctrl+v)
*La imagen aparece en la esquina del área de pintura o trabajo.
