Description
Sugar knows how to handle GSM modems in NetworkManager. But it does not know how to handle CDMA modems, which are presented as a different device type. (GNOME knows how to handle both.)
It looks from http://projects.gnome.org/NetworkManager/developers/settings-spec-08.html like the CDMA settings required are a subset of the GSM settings. Therefore Sugar likely can manage both with one GUI interface, just with slightly different backend code.
Originally filed as 10513. Seen in OLPC 10.1.3 os357 and examined by code to likely still be present in F14/SoaS.

More recent comments on the linked laptop.org bug seems to indicate CDMA to not be the issue. We need to know exactly what is not working here to be able to do anything.
