Description
Created LiveUSB on 8G card in USB adapter. Created soas-2-bluberry bootable system on this. With BIOS set for USB boot priority turned on machine (ACER 5315-2122). White "sugar on a stick" splash screen comes up. Then error (VERBATIM):
RAMDISK: incomplete write (3684 != 32768)
write error
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0, 0)
I can't add a bootparam to boot.conf for ramdisk_size because it is a read-only fs

- Version changed from SoaS 2 (Blueberry) to SoaS 3 (Mirabelle)
After a *day* of trying more than half a dozen Live USB creators (mad props to the people at linuxpendrive.com, that was the only one to work), I tried booting from soas-3-mirabelle. Got the splash screen, and the little grey circles got to about 9 O'clock around the X-O symbol in the middle, when the screen went blank and got the message: "No root device found, boot failed, sleeping forever". ARGGGH!

Can you retest this on SoaS v4 available here http://spins.fedoraproject.org/soas/

- Resolution set to wontfix
- Status changed from new to closed
This release of Sugar on a Stick is end of life. Please test against the latest version of SoaS available at http://spins.fedoraproject.org/soas/
If the problem still exists please open a new bug report detailing the issues in the new release or post to the mailing list.
Please join the mailing list at http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/soas for assistance or questions about Sugar on a Stick.
This looks like an incomplete write of the liveusb-creator - could you retry this and report back? Also, comparing checksums of the .iso images might be helpful. Please feel free let me know if I can help with that! Trying out the newly released Mirabelle would also be an interesting thing to do.
