Non-compressed SoaS USB fails to boot using helper CD

Description
I created a non-compressed Blueberry 4GB USB SoaS that boots successfully in a Dell Latitude D630 laptop configured to boot from the USB. The same SoaS will not boot, however, using the boot helper CD on an old IBM ThinkPad laptop. The two write-thru drive caches are assumed, but the IBM never gets to the "SoaS 1" loading-bars screen.
The IBM laptop will successfully boot to Sugar, however, using the same helper CD and a LiveUSB SoaS.
Does the helper CD only work with a LiveUSB SoaS? If so, perhaps it would be worthwhile to create a helper CD for non-compressed USB SoaS's.

This release of Sugar on a Stick is end of life. Please test against the latest version of SoaS available at http://spins.fedoraproject.org/soas/

I think the reason the boot helper CD isn't working with the non-compressed SoaS is that the volume isn't set to FEDORA in the wiki instructions for using ZyX-LiveInstaller. Could someone please provide the Terminal commands necessary to rename the volume (and also update the ZyX-LiveInstaller instructions at http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_on_a_Stick/ZyX-LiveInstaller)? Thanks in advance.
