Images and other graphic elements appear correctly, though.

Forgot to note that the preview appears only once Benjamin's patch from ​http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=566535 is applied to gtk.

Can't quite tell -- is this a duplicate of #151, or not? Does Benjamin's GNOME patch fix this issue?

This is a pretty serious bug from the POV of the portfolio tool, which is heavily dependent upon Journal previews and descriptions being accurate.

Not a duplicate. The abiword guys are helping on this one, hope to have a fix really soon.
