soas02 USB presence sevice shows different set of avitars(XO) than soasv1 strawberry and wrong colors

Description
when the jabber server is begining to fail and is very slow. soas02
adds new avitars very slowly (+10min) all in selected colors of ./sugar on stick.
In Analyze the Pubkey and color fields are filled with ?
At this time a different subset of avitars are displayed on soas02 than on a soas v1 strawberry stick.
(USB sticks were made with appropriate sh scripts in each case.)
When the jabber has just been reset, this does not occur
Is the presence service different on 0.86 than for 0.84? and why does this occur?

attaching screenshot of soas02 where almost all avitars are same color( same as user)
this is now worse for sugar 0.85 0.86 since gadget used on jabber.
Not visible on 0.84 sugar.
Analyze shows Pubkey ? and no entry for color on affeted avitars. but not affecting 0.84 sugar

ghosting seems to be related to storage on persistent USB where presence service did not write disconnect? this is speculation but no ghosts on live cd,s

I've no idea what's going on here - I hear it's being caused by issues with jabber.sugarlabs.org. Could somebody please either create a j.sl.o category in trac or nag Dave directly, as there's not much we can do in SoaS itself about it?

Looks like this is fixed in the current snapshots (and the current jabber.sl.o setup), so closing this for now.

I think there is a problem on Presence service on jabber in 0.86.x Sugar that causes this.
daveb and I did lots of testing on 10/23/2009 and this is a reproducible bug on
soas02 and trisquel 3.0 (0.86.x ) sugar USB's
