.. cause otherwise updating activities is not as much fun. You can install activities from activities.s.o and when you install a newer activity it replaces the previous one.
The main issue is that one gets no notification when a new version is available.

I think that it's too late to do #105 for 0.84 properly in upstream. If it's important for a deployer, it will need to be taken care of later when they do their customizations. And hope it will be ready for F12 (as upstream)
I think Bernie was once interested in this.
