Description

Observed in Soas-200903051021.iso

Steps to reproduce:

  1. launch Terminal
  2. nano /home/liveuser/.sugar/default/terminalrc
  3. edit to: font = monospace 14
  4. stop Terminal
  5. resume Terminal
  6. key (do not hit <Enter>) on first line: 12345678901234567892123456789312345678941234567895123456789612345678971234567898
    • notice that the line will wrap back on the prompt string.
  7. hit <Enter>
    • notice display accommodation

The default font of monospace 10 permits use of entire first line.

Do we think this is a:

  • VTE bug?
  • Bash bug?
  • Terminal bug?

Can someone with a copy of gnome-terminal (also VTE based) try it and see if the behavior is the same?
