Instead of ftp, please consider using WinSCP if you use Windows, which uses a secure transport.

If you use MacOSX, there's great support for ssh/scp on the command line, but I don't know what GUI applications are available.

If you can't use scp/ssh, we could setup vstpd with SSL, which is widely supported by Windows FTP clients, but I dunno about OSX.

Sorry to bother you with such issues, but sunjammer has way too many services to act lightly on security.

We now have an ftp server configured to only accept TLSAUTH for authenticated users.
Please, do test it with your regular FTP client:

 ftp://cms@shell.sugarlabs.org/www-testing

Or in split format:

User: cms
Pass: the password in your welcome email
Host: shell.sugarlabs.org
Dir: www-testing
