Testing Finance-7, the Help toolbar icon should not be right aligned with the Stop toolbar button. The Stop icon should, where possible, be on its own to the right. Proposal, move the Help icon over with the left aligned icons.

Before changing this, can we agree in a place for the Help button?

Right now, all the activities using it, are putting it aligned to right, close to the close button.

We should explore different options with a rationale. From my point of view, putting it with the other buttons is not good, a special place is needed. May be at the right in the ActivityButton subtoolbar.

Replying to godiard:

And I'm currently filing tickets against them ;)

The answer is certainly NOT next to the Stop icon. The Stop icon should be clear and away from other features. We could decide to standardise, much like Activity, Edit, View icons, for Help, but folks are trying different things with the Help button – this might be fine as help needs vary. Some open a palette with a list of hints (the discussed simple solution as per the mail list), while others make the Help icon a primary tool button to trigger some pop-up content (Implode) or change some content of the interface (Finance). Perhaps something like having the Help icon as the right most toolbar icon before Stop (not next to it but before the expanding separator).

We can only have so many special case icons in the toolbar... The Help icon is at least very clear and distinctive.

Probably close to the stop button is not the place, but should be good have _one_ place to to the Help button. If you fill different tickets, every activity will change in different ways, and we will be worst than how we are now.

Please propose a defined position for the help button, discus in the mailing list, update the HIG and later we can change the activities. We don't want these changes going back and forth.

I like Manuq proposal: Open the activity subtoolbar when starts a new instance, showing where change the title, description and share controls, and we can put at right the help button. In this way does not use space in the main toolbar, but the users knows where it is if they need it.
