  • Component changed from untriaged to SoaS
  • Owner set to mchua pbrobinson sdz

Looks like there's some PAM configuration that needs to be done so gnome-keyring gets properly started at login:

soas-i386-20101007.16.iso run as Live CD has this error" keychain password not set" ; requested multiple times

As a install, with liveinst (Anaconda)from the booted CD, we get firstboot and then gdm login to user.
when restart for color change in My Settings/AboutMe (Control Panel) and then reset.
We go back to gdm login for password and keychain is happy.

ie: The CD is not built for interaction with gdm login (keychain) and this causes the errors seen in this bug

I saw the keychain dialog pop up about three times when I booted soas-i386-20101025.05.iso as a Live CD on my MacBook Pro.

This has been fixed in F-15 / SoaS 5 and OLPC builds. The default key keyring needs to be created.
